Principal's Welcome Letter

August 2024

Dear Easterby Parents/Guardians:

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year. As we start the new school year together on Monday, August 19, 2024, the staff at Easterby Elementary School looks forward to working with you and your child. Our Easterby staff strongly believes that the education of children is a partnership between the home and the school and that parent involvement is crucial to the success of our students. Please mark Thursday, August 15, 2024 for Easterby’s Back to School Night from 5:30-7:00pm where you will meet our staff and receive important information about the coming school year.

The Easterby Elementary office will extend their hours on Tuesday, August 6 & 13 2024 for registration. The office will be open through 7:00 PM. Class lists will be posted Thursday, August 15, 2024, on the office windows in the courtyard. These lists will indicate your child’s teacher and room number. No room changes will be made prior to Monday, September 2, 2024. Please note that due to the possible enrollment changes we may need to create or collapse classrooms. There is a possibility that your child may be moved to a different class. We will contact you if this occurs.

Our district will be implementing an early release schedule on Tuesdays of a five-day school week for teacher professional development. Please visit our district website for calendar details: https://www.fresnounified.org/calendars/

Regular School Day Daily Schedule: TK & Kindergarten 7:55am-1:35pm Grades 1st – 6th 7:55am-2:35pm

Early Release School Day Daily Schedule: TK & Kindergarten 7:55am-12:30pm Grades 1st – 6th 7:55am-1:30pm

Parent conferences will be held during the week of October 21 through October 25, 2024, and dismissal will be 65 minutes prior to our regular dismissal. We will follow our early release schedule.

Breakfast is served from 7:30-7:50am and our after-school program is available daily until 6:00pm. The bus schedule is attached.

The staff at Easterby Elementary is committed to providing an education that will prepare your child to be a career ready graduate and we look forward to working with you toward this goal.

Bienvenidos al año escolar 2024-25. Al comenzar juntos el nuevo año escolar el lunes 19 de agosto de 2024, el personal de la Escuela Primaria Easterby Elementary espera trabajar con usted y su hijo/a. Nuestro personal de Easterby cree firmemente que la educación de los niños es una asociación entre el hogar y la escuela y que la participación de los padres es crucial para el éxito de nuestros estudiantes. Por favor marque Jueves, 15 de agosto de 2024 para Easterby Noche de Regreso a Clases de 5:30 a 7:00 p.m. donde conocerá a nuestro personal y recibirá información importante sobre el próximo año escolar.
